It was a strong match for a concise stay with value for money. The staff were friendly and very helpful upon arrival. Check for road signs leading to parking to avoid confusion.

The Small Double Room offered a charming atmosphere with beautiful countryside views. The cozy dining area contributed to a relaxing experience, making it ideal for a peaceful getaway.

The exterior presented a slightly rough look on approach, though that faded quickly. A full-length mirror in the room would have been handy, along with power outlets located near the beds. Outdoor seating lacked cushions, and a small shelf in the shower for toiletries could enhance convenience.

I had an enjoyable stay at Old Red Lion. The atmosphere here is lovely, especially in the dining area where the food freshly made and absolutely fantastic. The owners and staff radiated warmth and friendliness, making the whole experience feel welcoming. The countryside views from the room were stunning, creating a calming retreat. I also appreciated the cozy setup of my room. the shower setup could use some improvement, as it seemed a bit cramped. the towel size was limited, making it difficult to dry off comfortably after a shower.

The location offers stunning views over fields with Alfred's Tower in the distance. Our room was spacious and remarkably clean, complemented by friendly and efficient service. The highlight was the delicious home-cooked meals. the fillet steak was exceptionally well-prepared and breakfast provided a great selection, including fresh fruit and cereals.

Had a fantastic stay! The breakfast was incredible, especially the homemade full English, and the cauliflower cheese was a delightful surprise. The views from the dining room were stunning.

I stayed in a Small Double Room and it was super comfy! The bed felt great, and the room was clean and spacious. The en-suite was modern, and I really enjoyed the shower. The views were lovely too, adding to the whole experience. No complaints at all with the room. it was just what I needed for a peaceful night.

The Old Red Lion has a lovely atmosphere, with comfortable rooms that feature great countryside views and a cozy dining area. The food was absolutely fantastic, and the owners and staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly, making our stay truly enjoyable.

The shower setup could be safer!!! Limited towel sizes could also use some upgrade!!! It's frustrating when comfort doesn't extend to every detail!!!

we loved our stay here, especially since we returned after a pleasant visit before. the accommodations are spacious with stunning views over the fields and afred's tower, which truly exceeded our expectations. the homemade food was top-notch and the friendly atmosphere made it a wonderful biking retreat.

Perfect getaway in the countryside!

Staying here was awesome! The room was huge and spotless with a fab view of Alfred's Tower. The wifi was speedy, which was super handy. Dinner was delish, especially the perfectly cooked fillet steak. The only bummer was that the bar closed a bit early for our liking. The breakfast spread was nice too!

Spent a night here with friends and loved it! The room was super clean, spacious, and had great toiletries. Enjoyed the stunning views too. Breakfast was a highlight. the cooked option was delish! One thing tho, the lounge could use a bit more seating. But def wanna come back for longer!
